Driving by Tiberias, the city on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, is a true wonder and a must-have addition to your Israel tour.
We also include Beit Shean, one of Israel’s largest archaeological sites, Capernaum, the place where Jesus lived during much of his ministry in the Galilee and where he performed many miracles, and the nearby Tabgha where we visit the Church of the Primacy of St. Peter.
And then there’s the area of Bethsaida, which was referred in the New Testament in conjunction with two of Jesus’s miracles: healing the blind man and the feeding of the 5000. We then continue to the Mount of Beatitudes where the Sermon on the Mount took place. We’ll also enjoy some excellent St Peter’s fish for lunch in one of the many restaurants overlooking the Sea of Galilee.
