The Lowest Point on Earth has much to offer and is a must-have on any Israel tour!
Starting at Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found in 1947 by a shepherd boy, we continue to Ein Gedi, an oasis on the shore of the Dead Sea, a truly green Garden of Eden in the wilderness.
And then there’s Masada, the desert fortress built by King Herod, which sits atop a natural plateau overlooking the Dead Sea. We will hear the well known story of the Jewish Zealots who fled to Masada for refuge during the Revolt against the Romans.
The Dead Sea area has a unique climate and an international reputation as a health spa. And yes, of course, we will have the opportunity to float on the unique waters of the Dead Sea!
